Alroh Residential Mower Features:

Twin Clutch Design

Twin clutches enable either the cutting cylinder or the back roller drive to be engaged independently. The drive clutch lever is fitted with an additional fingertip control that enables the mower to be eased into or around tight corners.

The mower can be driven from the shed without the cylinder turning or the cutting cylinder can be engaged and the mower freely pushes in and out of difficult mowing areas. In normal mowing operation, both clutches are engaged for open lawn areas.

Full Cutting Width

Both the Deluxe Models have the cylinder cutting blades designed to reach the full width of the mower frame. This enables the mower to cut within ¾” [20mm] of obstructions or lawn edges.

Quick Height Adjuster

The Deluxe range come with the added benefit of an easily turned knob for front roller adjustment. This enables quick cutting height changes to suit a range of turf conditions from 7mm for the bowling green finish through to 35mm for the new soft leaf buffalo grasses.

Rear Rollers

The 47 Deluxe mower has a single piece rear roller and the larger 54 Deluxe model has a split drum rear roller with internal ratchet mechanism. The split rear roller reduces leaf bruising and facilitates turning in tight areas but requires steering on the straight runs.

Engine Choices

Alroh Residential mowers are offered with a choice of engine. All the motors are four stroke unleaded petrol powered units that meets the latest emission control legislation. They are easy to start, quiet and smooth running.

The Briggs & Stratton 3.5hp and Honda GC160 engines are designed for long lasting residential use whilst the Briggs & Stratton 5.5hp Intek and Honda GX120 engines are the top of the range power units designed to be used in commercial applications.

Cylinder Mowers - The finest cut of all
Any professional groundsman will tell you that a quality lawn with a velvety close cut pile can only be achieved with regular mowing with a cylinder mower. The grass leaf is cut with a clean scissor like action between the precision ground cutting blades of the cylinder and the fixed bottom blade.

By contrast, rotary mowers cut grass by slashing, which tears and induces bruising of the leaf. Cylinder mowers also cut lower than rotaries hence their use on bowling & golf greens and tennis & croquet courts.

Regular cutting using a quality Alroh mower reduces the invasion of coarse grasses and weeds leading to a strong and healthy dense grass sward.
