POULAN PRO COMPANY HISTORY
The Poulan brand is synonymous with quality, reliability and value for over 60 years. The Poulan chainsaw company was founded in 1946, based on a new product that revolutionised the forestry industry and set the tone for a company that would continue to build its reputation as an innovator.
In the late 1970’s Poulan merged with Weedeater expanding its growth opportunities. As consumer demands further increased for higher specified products, the Poulan PRO brand came to life. Added functionality, user friendliness combined with improved durability, Poulan PRO introduced products designed for a wider range of applications.
Today Poulan PRO is part of the leading North American manufacturer of petrol, electric and battery powered handheld outdoor power equipment. It makes more lawn trimmers, blowers and chainsaws than any other manufacturer in the world. Its Nashville, Arkansas chainsaw factory is the largest single chainsaw factory in the world producing over 1 million units annually.
